His Holiness Patriarch Kirill greets Italian Prime Minister Matteo Renzi with his 40th birthday

His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia congratulated H.E. Mr. Matteo Renzi, Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Italy, on his 40th birthday. The text of the message is given below.

His Holiness Patriarch Kirill greets Italian Prime Minister Matteo Renzi with his 40th birthday

Your Excellency, dear Mr. Prime Minister,

Please, accept my greetings with your 40^th birthday.

You have assumed the office of head of the Italian Government in a difficult period which requires from state leaders special responsibility, foresight and reasonable approach to decision making.

The Moscow Patriarchate has parishes in Italy, which take spiritual care of the Orthodox Christians. The Russian Church is grateful to the Italian authorities for their unchanging goodwill and assistance in upholding traditional moral values, basic for our two national cultures.

I wish you good health, peace and God’s help in your service.

…we do have a small request. More and more people visit Orthodoxy and the World website. However, resources for editorial are scarce. In comparison to some mass media, we do not make paid subscription. It is our deepest belief that preaching Christ for money is wrong.

For example, 5 euros a month is it a lot or little? A cup of coffee? It is not that much for a family budget, but it is a significant amount for Pravmir.
