A Regular Session of the Synod of Bishops is Convening at the Residence of the First Hierarch of the Russian Church Abroad

On Tuesday, December 9, 2014 , the feast day of St Innokenty of Irkutsk, following Divine Liturgy at St Sergius Chapel at the Synodal Residence in New York, a regular session of the Synod of Bishops of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia commenced.

This meeting coincides with the celebration of the 30th anniversary of the episcopal consecration of the Primate of the Russian Church Abroad, His Eminence Metropolitan Hilarion of Eastern America and New York, which took place on December 10, the feast day of the Kursk-Root Icon of the Mother of God “of the Sign.”

The meeting will end today before all-night vigil at the Cathedral.

For example, 5 euros a month is it a lot or little? A cup of coffee? It is not that much for a family budget, but it is a significant amount for Pravmir.

If everyone reading Pravmir could donate 5 euros a month, they would contribute greatly to our ability to spread the word of Christ, Orthodoxy, life's purpose, family and society.
