On 8-12 October 2014, the 3rd International Conference on Trauma took place on the island of Rhodes, Greece.

The forum, organized by the Department for Pastoral Ministry in Health Care of the Patriarchate of Constantinople, gathered theologians, pastors, and medical workers from various Local Orthodox Churches. Two previous conferences were held in 2008 and 2011.

With the blessing of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia, taking part in the conference was archpriest Alexy Baburin, cleric of the Church of the Deposition of the Lord’s Robe in Donskaya Street, Moscow, senior research fellow of the Mental Health Research Centre of the Russian Academy of Medical Sciences, member of the Executive Committee of the All-Russian Society of Orthodox Physicians. In his presentation, Fr. Alexy told about the cooperation between the Church and medical institutions in Russia.

The participants in the forum noted that the conference had been organized at a high scientific and practical level and expressed their wish to continue this good initiative.

If everyone reading Pravmir could donate 5 euros a month, they would contribute greatly to our ability to spread the word of Christ, Orthodoxy, life's purpose, family and society.
