The address of the Holy Synod of the Church of Greece requests that His Holiness ask the government of the Russian Federation to ease sanctions against Greek agricultural products (mainly peaches), the producers of which are in a very difficult position due to the Greek economic crisis, relates Sedmitsa.Ru.

The letter’s text to His Holiness, Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia, was one of the issues discussed during the meeting of the Holy Synod of the Greek Orthodox Church on August 25.
