It was at this monastery that the tradition of annual seminars originated. His Eminence Archbishop Mark of Berlin and Germany will speak on the male monastic tradition, and other invited guests will speak on contemporary monasticism.
These Orthodox seminars have taken place for over 30 years. These days, information is readily accessible through modern technology, however, these events provide an opportunity to palpably sense the theme at hand, to sense Orthodox Christianity in this form. The living communion with pastors, the daily services, joint meals, new acquaintances and discussions and even limited time for sleep provide a few days of an entirely different lifestyle.
The monastery’s doors will be open to all during the forum. For a part of one day, participants will go on an excursion of the monastery grounds, visit workshops, the printing concern and candle-making factory.
