DECR chairman meets with His Holiness Patriarch Bartholomew of Constantinople

 On 20 March 2013, Metropolitan Hilarion of Volokolamsk, DECR chairman, currently in Italy to attend the enthronement of Pope Francis of Rome with the blessing of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia, met with His Holiness Patriarch Bartholomew of Constantinople at breakfast in the Vatican hotel “Domus Sanctae Marthae’ where the guests are staying.

They were joined in the talk by Bishop Sergiy of Solnechnogorsk, head of the Moscow Patriarchate’s Administrative Secretariat, and by hieromonk Antoniy (Sevryuk), secretary of the administration of the Moscow Patriarchate’s parishes in Italy. Discussed were issues pertaining to inter-Orthodox cooperation and interaction of the Local Orthodox Churches in the inter-Christian dialogue.
