Metropolitan Hilarion receives a delegation of the University of Eastern Finland

On February 7, 2013, Metropolitan Hilarion of Volokolamsk in his capacity as rector of the Sts. Cyril and Methodius School for Post-Graduate and Doctoral Studies received a delegation of the University of Eastern Finland in Joensuu, including Prof. Matti Kotiranta, head of the University’s School of Theology, and Archpriest Rauno Pietarinen, rector of the Joensuu Orthodox Seminary. Present at the talk was also Hierodeacon Ioann (Kopeikin), assistant to the rector of the ROC School for Post-Graduate Studies for international cooperation.

They discussed prospects for cooperation between the University of Eastern Finland and the ROC School for Post-Graduate Studies including student and faculty exchange and joint project work.

In conclusion of the meeting, Metropolitan Hilarion presented the guests with copies of the Russian and English versions of his book ‘Orthodoxy’.
