admin | 25 January 2013

His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia congratulated the Primate of the Serbian Orthodox Church on the anniversary of his enthronement. The text is given below.

His Holiness Irinej

Archbishop of Peć

Metropolitan of Belgrade and Karlovci

Patriarch of Serbia

Your Holiness, beloved brother and concelebrant at God’s Altar:

I cordially greet Your Holiness with the anniversary of your enthronement.

By taking upon your shoulders the heavy primatial cross, You have become the successor of the late-lamented Patriarchs Varnava, Gavrilo, German and Pavle and the continuer of their sacrificial deeds, and also a spiritual father of the Serbian people. While carrying on this hard work, you can always count on the support of the Russian Orthodox Church.

May the All-Bountiful Lord, by the prayers of St. Sava of Serbia, keep Your Holiness in good health, peace and joy for many good years and may He grant you His almighty help in your primatial ministry.

With brotherly love in Christ,

+ KIRILL

PATRIARCH OF MOSCOW AND ALL RUSSIA
