Archbishop Ieronynos of Athens and All Greece is making an official visit to the Greek-American Community, the first Prelate of the Church of Greece to visit U.S. in more than 50 years. In an exclusive interview with The National Herald he praised the Greek American Community and he called it “a great chapter of our history.” Archbishop Ieronymos was invited by Archbishop Demetrios of America and will be given an honorary Doctorate of Theology from Holy Cross Theological School on May 18. He spoke about the crisis in Greece, the Church’s property, the Autocephaly of the Church of Greece, the relations of Church and State in Greece.

…we do have a small request. More and more people visit Orthodoxy and the World website. However, resources for editorial are scarce. In comparison to some mass media, we do not make paid subscription. It is our deepest belief that preaching Christ for money is wrong.

For example, 5 euros a month is it a lot or little? A cup of coffee? It is not that much for a family budget, but it is a significant amount for Pravmir.

If everyone reading Pravmir could donate 5 euros a month, they would contribute greatly to our ability to spread the word of Christ, Orthodoxy, life's purpose, family and society.
