BELGRADE – A delegation of the Serbian Orthodox Church (SPC) headed by Patriarch Irinej will embark on a 13-day visit to Russia, Ukraine and Belarus on Tuesday, Tanjug was told in the SPC Patriarchate in Belgrade.
The Serbian Patriarch and SPC dignitaries will confer with presidents of the three countries.
The meeting between Serbian Patriarch Irinej and Russian President Vladimir Putin is scheduled for July 25.
On Wednesday, His Holiness will meet with Russian Patriarch Kirill.
The SPC delegation will visit Saint Petersburg and Kiev where it will stay two days for a ceremony on the occasion of the Baptism of Russia.
From the Ukrainian capital, the Patriarch will go to Minsk, where the SPC delegation will be received by Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko.
The Patriarch will be accompanied by a number of bishops including Metropolitan Amfilohije Radovic of Montenegro and the Littoral and Bishop Irinej Bulatovic of Backa.
