The project will cost about 20 million rubles. The park will occupy 0,5 hectares. About 40 of 120 plants mentioned in the Holy Scripture will be presented there, website of the Vecherniaya Moskva website reports on Monday.

“We need support from authorities to make our plans come true. The park that we want to set up in Moscow have only one analogue, it is located in Israel and is called Neot Kedumim,” designer of the project, vice-president of Russia’s Architect Union Igor Voskresensky said.

Only those trees, bunches and flowers that can survive and grow in local climate will be planted in the park.

“There will be an oak, an ash tree, a birch, daffodils, roses – a symbol of Jesus Christ, lilies – a symbol of the Holy Virgin, a willow – substitute for palms,” Voskresensky explains. “And to substitute plants that are mentioned in Bible, but can’t grow in our climate, there will be copies made of bronze.”
