Moscow, November 15, Interfax - Rector of the National Research Nuclear University MIFI Mikhail Strikhanov connects successes of the university with Orthodoxy.
“The faith, which the nuclear of the university confesses, helps us to achieve success in everyday life,” he said at the 4th Christmas Educational Readings of Moscow southern deanery opened in MIFI.
The rector told that after the home chapel was opened in 2008 and the Faculty of Theology was opened in 2012 (chaired by the head of the Synodal Department for External Church Relations Metropolitan Hilarion of Volokolamsk) MIFI achieved great success both in Russia and abroad.
“The university today is included in top 100 of the best universities, occupying the 36th place on natural sciences in the international rating. According to the other rating, we hold the 75th place in the world among 5,000 universities. Many people wondered when we started, they asked how physics combines with faith. It combines very well as our deep conviction is that young generation should confess the immutable values from the very start,” Strikhanov said.
Since you are here…
…we do have a small request. More and more people visit Orthodoxy and the World website.
However, resources for editorial are scarce.
In comparison to some mass media, we do not make paid subscription.
It is our deepest belief that preaching Christ for money is wrong.
Having said that, Pravmir provides daily articles from an autonomous news service,
weekly wall newspaper for churches, lectorium, photos, videos, hosting and servers.
Editors and translators work together towards one goal: to make our four websites possible -
Pravmir.ru, Neinvalid.ru, Matrony.ru and Pravmir.com. Therefore our request for help is understandable.
For example, 5 dollars a month is it a lot or little?
A cup of coffee?
It is not that much for a family budget, but it is a significant amount for Pravmir.
If everyone reading Pravmir could donate 5 dollars a month,
they would contribute greatly to our ability to spread the word of Christ,
Orthodoxy, life's purpose, family and society.
