Patriarch Unveils Predecessor’s Statue

The Russian Church is marking the Feast of the Protection of the Mother of God.

As part of Church ceremonies held on the occasion, Patriarch Kirill has unveiled a statue of his predecessor Alexiy II installed outside the main Cathedral of the Belarusian capital Minsk.

In a subsequent sermon, he spoke about the unity of the Orthodox believers of Russia, Belarus and Ukraine.
