Nov 11 2021 His Eminence Archbishop Makarios visited St. Procopios, luwayo Lugazi district for a Divine liturgy. The Archbishop was welcomed by local priests, nuns and parishioners of this lovely church. The priests thanked His Eminence for the visit and blessings. Below is a short speech of His Eminence Archbishop Makarios:
“Reverend fathers, mother superior, nuns present, brothers and sisters in Christ, I great you all in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. It is a great joy for me to be able to travel all the way from Nairobi and come to celebrate the divine liturgy with you. First let me take this opportunity to convey great wishes from our beloved Patriarch who sent me here.”
“Fathers, brothers and sisters in Christ, let me give you a small teaching that all of us need to try and learn. It is about humility, in each of us. We are not perfect we are not Holy, we all have one element, egoistic element which disturb us and it’s a Satan in all of us. We are invited to the body of Christ, no tribe, no black, or white, no rich or poor, we are all equal in the eyes of God. If we know or learn how to try and conquer this satanic element, the devil will not be able to conquer us. Let us embrace each other, let us love one another while we are here on earth, for us to inherit the Kingdom of God. May the blessings of the Lord be with you.”
Later in the afternoon His Eminence Archbishop Makarios on his way back passed by St. Mary’s Kantete parish through the invitation of Fr. Kizito. There he greeted and blessed the faithful and officiated a memorial service of the late Fr. Ssekyewa Emmanuel. May his memory be eternal.
Since you are here…

…we do have a small request. More and more people visit Orthodoxy and the World website. However, resources for editorial are scarce. In comparison to some mass media, we do not make paid subscription. It is our deepest belief that preaching Christ for money is wrong.

Having said that, Pravmir provides daily articles from an autonomous news service, weekly wall newspaper for churches, lectorium, photos, videos, hosting and servers. Editors and translators work together towards one goal: to make our four websites possible - Pravmir.ru, Neinvalid.ru, Matrony.ru and Pravmir.com. Therefore our request for help is understandable.

For example, 5 euros a month is it a lot or little? A cup of coffee? It is not that much for a family budget, but it is a significant amount for Pravmir.

If everyone reading Pravmir could donate 5 euros a month, they would contribute greatly to our ability to spread the word of Christ, Orthodoxy, life's purpose, family and society.
