Metropolitan Hilarion meets with leaders of a major inter-Cristian humanitarian organization

On May 13, 2022, Metropolitan Hilarion of Volokolamsk, Chairman of the Department for External Church Relations of the Moscow Patriarchate, met in Paralimni, Cyprus, with the leaders of the ACT Alliance (Action of Churches Together), an inter-Christian humanitarian organization, General Secretary Rudelmar Bueno, and Moderator Eric Lucien.

They were joined by Hieromonk Stefan (Igumnov), DECR secretary for inter-Christian relations, and Ms. Margarita Nelyubova, a DECR staff member.

The sides discussed the cooperation between the Russian Orthodox Church and the ACT Alliance in projects for aid to victims of emergencies.

The Actions of Churches Together Alliance was established in 1995. Its members are 137 Christian churches and church-public organizations in 127 countries. The Russian Orthodox Church has maintained cooperation with the ACT Alliance as its member since its inception. In cooperation with this organization, she has implemented a great number of humanitarian projects in various regions in Russia and other countries.

For example, 5 euros a month is it a lot or little? A cup of coffee? It is not that much for a family budget, but it is a significant amount for Pravmir.

If everyone reading Pravmir could donate 5 euros a month, they would contribute greatly to our ability to spread the word of Christ, Orthodoxy, life's purpose, family and society.
