In his response to a question about television programs encouraging people to help children, Russian President Vladimir Putin said it is important when people donate money to the treatment of seriously ill children.
“We cannot prohibit these calls and broadcasts on this subject. Helping one or two children is very crucial,” said the president during a press conference in Moscow on December 19.
“If we save the life of at least one person, it is already wonderful. The Lord will already note this, when you will stand before Him,” he added.
He also stated that children’s medicine still needs to be improved and ‘brought to a higher level’ in general.
