Georgian president grants 78 pardons for Easter

Tbilisi, April 14, Interfax - Georgian President Giorgi Margvelashvili has signed a decree pardoning 78 prison inmates on the occasion of Orthodox Easter, chairman of the presidential commission for pardons Zviad Koridze told a press briefing on Tuesday.

The presidential decree allows 57 people to leave penitentiaries on Tuesday and reduces the terms of another 21 inmates, he said.
