His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia congratulated Mr. Andrzej Duda on his election as President of the Republic of Poland.

Dear Mr. Duda,

Please accept my congratulations on your election as President of the Republic of Poland.

I hope that your experience and high professionalism will help you in your new important ministry.

For many years the Russian Orthodox Church and your country have been tied by good relations, considerably fostered by our brotherly bonds with the Polish Orthodox Church.

I am also pleased to note the fruitful cooperation with the Catholic Church in Poland. Our church communities have been making their contribution to the promotion of neighbourly relations between the Russian and the Polish people, as was manifested by the Joint Message to the Peoples of Russia and Poland, signed by me and the head of the Polish Bishops’ Conference in August 2012.

I wish you spiritual and physical strength, God’s help and every success in your service for the benefit of Poland and her people.

…we do have a small request. More and more people visit Orthodoxy and the World website. However, resources for editorial are scarce. In comparison to some mass media, we do not make paid subscription. It is our deepest belief that preaching Christ for money is wrong.

Having said that, Pravmir provides daily articles from an autonomous news service, weekly wall newspaper for churches, lectorium, photos, videos, hosting and servers. Editors and translators work together towards one goal: to make our four websites possible - Pravmir.ru, Neinvalid.ru, Matrony.ru and Pravmir.com. Therefore our request for help is understandable.

For example, 5 euros a month is it a lot or little? A cup of coffee? It is not that much for a family budget, but it is a significant amount for Pravmir.

If everyone reading Pravmir could donate 5 euros a month, they would contribute greatly to our ability to spread the word of Christ, Orthodoxy, life's purpose, family and society.
