The press office of the Simbirsk Metropolia has reported that among the participants of the first junior rides were pupils of orphanages.

The Primate of the Simbirsk Metropolia delivered a speech in which he noted:

“Dear Sergei Ivanovich, dear builders, inspirators, and winners! Dear Friends! Looking at our young generation I remember my childhood. Go-kart tracks, really?! In my time hardly everyone had a bicycle. But now just look at this wonderful sports center! Whatever anyone says, but Russia lives and develops! Such events exalt Russia and I am glad that not merely shopping centers and dance clubs open in Simbirsk, but also such important sports facilities as this one. I am addressing those who will win here and will aspire to reach the top results: preserve the spirit of unity, the spirit of Russian identity, and mutual help. Happy journey!”

Metropolitan Theophan, Governor Sergei Morozov and other honored guests took a ride to the covered track in full uniform.

Despite the first-time ride, Metropolitan Theophan rode properly equaling the more experienced racers.

Since you are here…

…we do have a small request. More and more people visit Orthodoxy and the World website. However, resources for editorial are scarce. In comparison to some mass media, we do not make paid subscription. It is our deepest belief that preaching Christ for money is wrong.

Having said that, Pravmir provides daily articles from an autonomous news service, weekly wall newspaper for churches, lectorium, photos, videos, hosting and servers. Editors and translators work together towards one goal: to make our four websites possible - Pravmir.ru, Neinvalid.ru, Matrony.ru and Pravmir.com. Therefore our request for help is understandable.

For example, 5 euros a month is it a lot or little? A cup of coffee? It is not that much for a family budget, but it is a significant amount for Pravmir.

If everyone reading Pravmir could donate 5 euros a month, they would contribute greatly to our ability to spread the word of Christ, Orthodoxy, life's purpose, family and society.
