The Fellowship of Orthodox Christians in America [FOCA] invites all Orthodox Christian youth to enter its 2018 “Celebration of Faith” contest.

This year’s contest theme is “For the Life of the World,” which is also the theme of the Orthodox Church in America’s 19th All-American Council inspired by the classic book of the same name by the late Protopresbyter Alexander Schmemann.

Entrants, who need not be FOCA members, are invited to create and submit original artistic pieces in the areas of literature, musical composition, photography and the visual arts. Cash prizes totaling $500.00 will be awarded. All entries must be sent no later than June 4, 2018 to the FOCA Celebration of Faith, c/o Danielle Kovach, 8 Ginesi Drive, Clark, NJ 07066; dkovach517@aol.com. A detailed list of rules for each category and an entry form may be accessed on the FOCA web site.

All entries will be displayed at the FOCA’s 92nd Annual Convention which will be held July 20-23, 2018 in conjunction with the 19th AAC at the historic Union Station Hotel in Saint Louis, MO.

Since you are here…

…we do have a small request. More and more people visit Orthodoxy and the World website. However, resources for editorial are scarce. In comparison to some mass media, we do not make paid subscription. It is our deepest belief that preaching Christ for money is wrong.

Having said that, Pravmir provides daily articles from an autonomous news service, weekly wall newspaper for churches, lectorium, photos, videos, hosting and servers. Editors and translators work together towards one goal: to make our four websites possible - Pravmir.ru, Neinvalid.ru, Matrony.ru and Pravmir.com. Therefore our request for help is understandable.

For example, 5 euros a month is it a lot or little? A cup of coffee? It is not that much for a family budget, but it is a significant amount for Pravmir.

If everyone reading Pravmir could donate 5 euros a month, they would contribute greatly to our ability to spread the word of Christ, Orthodoxy, life's purpose, family and society.
