MINSK, 22 September (BelTA) – Interreligious peace in Belarus is a vivid example for other countries, Metropolitan of Minsk and Zaslavl Pavel, Patriarchal Exarch of All Belarus told reporters after the meeting of Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko with the Synod of the Belarusian Orthodox Church on 22 September, BelTA has learned.
“As for the standing of all religious denominations in Belarus, I think that it is a bright example for many states. We are living in peace and accord, there is nothing to quarrel over, we have our own dimensions of work,” the Metropolitan said. “We do not compete with other religious denominations, we are doing our work. I am really happy that there is interreligious peace in Belarus.”
The Patriarchal Exarch stressed that conflicting parties choose Belarus as a platform for reconciliation for a reason.
