Metropolitan Georgy of Nizhny Novgorod and Arzamas meets with delegation of Chinese specialists from Hubei Province and city of Wuhan

On 22 September 2014, Metropolitan Georgy of Nizhny Novgorod and Arzamas met with a delegation of specialists from Hubei Province and the city of Wuhan, who have been carrying out restoration work at the Orthodox Church of St. Alexander Nevsky in Wuhan, the oldest Orthodox construction in China at the moment.

The Chinese delegation, led by Mr. Wang Fangjou, deputy head of the Cultural Heritage Bureau of Hubei Province, arrived in Russia in September 2014, and visited Moscow, Diveyevo, Nizhny Novgorod, Arzamas, Gorodets, and St. Petersburg.

Metropolitan Georgy of Nizhny Novgorod and Arzamas received the Chinese guests in his residence at the Pechersky Monastery of the Holy Ascension. The participants in the meeting discussed a wide range of issues of regional cooperation between Russia and China in humanitarian sphere, including further joint efforts of the Russian and the Chinese specialists, aimed at restoring the Church of St. Alexander Nevsky in the city of Wuhan.

For example, 5 euros a month is it a lot or little? A cup of coffee? It is not that much for a family budget, but it is a significant amount for Pravmir.

If everyone reading Pravmir could donate 5 euros a month, they would contribute greatly to our ability to spread the word of Christ, Orthodoxy, life's purpose, family and society.
