During the liturgy, a consolidated children’s choir was singing, which consisted of fourteen choirs from temples in Astrakhan, Moscow, Vienna, Elista and others. Children also helped the Patriarch as altar boys during the service.

The Russian News Agency reported that after the divine service, His Holiness, Patriarch Kirill, met with large families and families of servicemen who died in the line of duty, and gave them presents.

Addressing the mothers, the Patriarch said, “You are conducting the primary ministry.”

His Holiness, Patriarch Kirill, mentioned that sometimes women pursue a career. They work, do researches and enter politics. He pointed out that all of it was crucial. “However, there is nothing more important than motherhood, because our future depends on it literally.
